Executive Director, NETWORK, A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby

Sister Simone Campbell is a leader, a facilitator, a lawyer and a poet. She is currently the Executive Director of NETWORK, A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby in Washington, D.C. and recently led the Nuns on the Bus tour to lift up the needs of people who live in poverty and how the Ryan/House budget would devastate them. Her past experience include positions of executive director of JERICHO, an interfaith public policy and advocacy organization in California; founder and lead attorney of a community law center in California; and leadership of her international community.

Leslie G. Woods
Domestic Poverty & Environmental Issues, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Co-chair, Inter-religious Working Group on Domestic Human Needs

Leslie G. Woods serves the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Office of Public Witness as the Representative for Domestic Poverty and Environmental Issues, advocating Presbyterian General Assembly policy on Capitol Hill and educating members of Presbyterian congregations on matters related to economic inequality, poverty, hunger, health, human needs, federal budget, climate change, energy and other environmental issues. Leslie serves as co-chair of the Inter-religious Working Group on Domestic Human Needs, through which many denominations and faith-based organizations advocate on federal poverty-related issues. 

Rev. Michael C. Durst, UCC Minister
Adviser on Tax Justice to Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

The Rev. Michael C. Durst is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, and for more than thirty years has been a member of the District of Columbia Bar working in the field of international taxation.  He has academic backgrounds in law, economics, and religion, and writes as a Contributing Editor for Bloomberg BNA Tax Management. Currently, he is an adviser on Tax Justice to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Sister Marge Clark, BVM
Chief Lobbyist, NETWORK, A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby

Marge Clark, BVM (a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary), works as a lobbyist with NETWORK, A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby. Marge researches, writes and advocates on domestic poverty issues – most recently focused on the overarching federal budget, deficit and debt.  In addition to other work at NETWORK, she is on the core planning committee for Ecumenical Advocacy Days. She came to NETWORK from thirty years’ experience in higher education, teaching teachers.
